  Got a flat in Khalifa City and couldn’t get the wheel off

  I had one of those moments today where I felt completely useless. I was driving through Khalifa City A on my way to pick up my son from football practice when I heard that telltale thumping sound that means you’ve got a flat tyre. Pulled over safely, got the jack and spare out of the boot, feeling pretty confident because I’ve changed a tyre before and thought I knew what I was doing. Well, that confidence lasted about two minutes because the lug nuts were absolutely seized on and no matter how much I tried, I could not get them to budge. I jumped on the wrench, tried kicking it, everything I could think of, but nothing worked. I was stuck there for about twenty minutes feeling pretty stupid before I remembered there are mobile services that come out for exactly this kind of situation. I called a number I found online and they sent a guy out within half an hour who had one of those impact wrenches and had the wheel off in about two seconds flat. Honestly it was such a relief and I was kicking myself for not just calling them sooner instead of wasting all that time and energy. If you ever need a quick flat tyre change in Khalifa City, I’d definitely recommend just calling the pros because it saved me so much hassle and I didn’t even have to get my hands dirty. Has anyone else had this happen where the lug nuts were just stuck? Is that common here with the heat and humidity or was I just unlucky?
