Faithful in the Few: The 51st Girls’ Brigade Rededication Service 2025
On 27 April 2025, The 51st Girls’ Brigade Company gathered once again for a moment of reflection and recommitment. The Rededication Service was originally an Enrolment Service, where we welcomed new recruits into our company. However, as we ceased the intake of new recruits last year, this year’s Rededication Service became a time for the girls to renew their promise to serve faithfully — not just in the Company, but in their schools, homes, and communities as ambassadors of Christ.
This years’ service was especially heartwarming, as parents were invited to witness the girls rededicate their lives to God’s call. It was also a precious opportunity for them to interact with the wider church community, deepening the bridge between families and the spiritual home of the Company.
One of the most memorable moments of the service was a special medley performed by the girls, blending “Holy Forever”, a slow vocal piece, with “Treasure Quest”, a vibrant dance song. The combination of heartfelt worship and the playful, spirited energy of GB was beautifully showcased in this performance – thoughtfully planned and wonderfully executed by the girls themselves.
Though the Company’s numbers may be small, we are reminded that ministry is not about the many, but the faithfulness of the few. Even with just one or two, we are called to plant seeds of faith. As Jesus taught, the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed — tiny at first, but growing into something much greater.
We would like to thank our Officers, Teachers, and Church members for their unwavering prayers and constant encouragement. We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and faith that the Church has generously shown to us.
As we look ahead to our final year in 2026, we ask for your prayers — for perseverance, for purpose, and for the seeds sown this year to take root in the hearts of our girls. May these young women rise up in strength and courage to share the love of Christ with others. May 12 become 24, and 24 become 48, as each one reaches another in His name.
We journey on with hope, trusting that God who began a good work in us will carry it to completion.
