Goshen Bike Ride to Marina Barrage

On 23 November 2024, the Goshen Befrienders of Cyclists organized a cycling trip from JCC to Marina Barrage.  Eleven riders joined in this event and completed a 50 km round trip from JCC to Marina Barrage and back. We started at 7 a.m. and returned to JCC around 1 p.m.

The weather was especially good, considering it had rained heavily the day before.

November in Singapore marks the onset of the Northeast Monsoon season, characterised by a significant increase in rainfall, with an average of 260mm. The rain in November is generally more sustained and heavier than in previous months and often lasts throughout the day.

Thank God the rain held off until we had safely reached home.

On a side note, one of our riders (3rd from left in the group photo), Pastor Michael Christian recently completed the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2024 on 1st December, just a week after the bike ride.

Join us at Goshen Befrienders of Cyclists to build up your stamina and endurance for a healthy life. Our supportive community will encourage you in your training.  Besides organizing bike rides across Singapore, we also dedicate Sunday afternoons to bicycle repairs and maintenance at Jurong Christian Church.
