Prayer Focus for December 2025
As we enter the month of December and step into the Advent season, we turn our hearts toward Christ our King, who came to dwell among us and bring salvation to the world. This is a season of hope, reflection, and renewal. Let us come before the Lord in prayer—seeking His guidance, lifting up the ministries of our church, and preparing ourselves to welcome the One who is Emmanuel, God with us.
- Stewardship of Gifts
In November, our church reflected on stewardship. Through the sermons, we were reminded that our time, talents, and resources are gifts from our heavenly Father, given for the building of His Kingdom.
Let each of us pray and seek the Lord’s guidance on how we may faithfully use what He has entrusted to us for His glory and service.
- Serving in Ministries and Outreach
Our church has many ministries and outreach initiatives that need servants and volunteers.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will move in our hearts, stirring a willingness to step forward and fill these opportunities to serve.
- Dialect Ministry
We thank God for a team of brothers and sisters who have served in the Dialect Ministry with love and dedication for decades.
Pray that new and younger members will come on board, serve together, and take up leadership roles in this meaningful ministry of sharing Christ’s love with our dialect-speaking community.
- Preparing for Christmas
As we enter the Christmas season in December, let us prepare our hearts to receive Christ our King, born to save humanity.
Pray that Advent will be a time of renewal, reflection, and joyful expectation.
- Christmas Outreach and Carolling
Pray for the various outreach and carolling events happening this Christmas, especially the Christmas Block Party for Residents on 20 December in the Taman Jurong neighbourhood.
May the light and hope of Christ shine through us as we reach out to those who have yet to know Jesus.
- Search for a New ES Pastor
Pray for God’s leading and provision as we seek a new ES pastor to come on board in 2026.
Ask that the Lord will send the right shepherd in His perfect timing.
- Parish Worker for Children’s Ministry
Pray for the Lord to raise up a parish worker for our Children’s Ministry—someone with a heart for children, a passion for teaching, and a desire to build the next generation in Christ.
Abba Father, as we bring these prayer needs before You, prepare our hearts in this Advent season to welcome Christ our King with faith and joy. Strengthen all who serve and raise up new workers to join in Your mission. Guide our church by Your Spirit, that in all things we may walk in Your will and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
