Prayer Focus For June

a) Pentecost Season

Pentecost season begins on Sunday 28th May and lasts until November.

• Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower JCCians to be Christ-like and be bold witnesses for Him.

• Pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully in our Sunday Services (Chinese, English and Dialect) and His anointing be upon our worship team as we enter into the Father’s presence with our praises and thanksgiving in Jesus’ name.

• Pray for the Holy Spirit to strengthen our Cell Groups, and raise up intercessors and prayer teams to pray in the Spirit for all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. (Eph 6:18)

b) Post-AGM

We give thanks to God for the AGM 2023 we had in May.

Paul’s words in 1 Cor 1:10 are a challenge to us to live in unity with one another and thus be effective witnesses for Christ.

• Pray for unity of JCCians across all language sections (English, Chinese, Dialect) as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

• Pray for unity upon the leadership of JCC (Councilmen, HOMs/MLTs, Cell Leaders).

• May the “fear of the LORD” give us encouragement to serve Him faithfully with all our hearts as we consider what great things He has done for us. (1 Sam 12:24)

c) Theme of JCC: Go Deep in Discipleship

• Pray for a deep conviction to live a life of discipleship for all JCCians.

• Pray for faith and boldness to rise up to be disciple-makers.

d) Church Ministries

• Pray for more teachers in the Children’s Ministry.

• The JCCians serving in the Pulse Ministry are mainly young working adults with a commitment to prayer. Let us pray for them too, that despite the busyness of life they will continue to grow their relationship with the Lord.

• For young adults, pray that they will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to rise up and serve the Lord in church leadership.

• For all adults, pray that they will be effective mentors to the young ones.

• Pray for all ministries to rise up in harvesting souls through the Goshen Initiatives as well as in the marketplace and schools.

e) Goshen Initiatives

• Pray for open doors to reach out to more families.

• Pray for strengthening of relationships with the community.

• Pray for the gospel to reach every home, the Holy Spirit to convict souls.
