Sharing Joy and Unity: JCC at Taman Jurong’s National Day Event

In the spirit of “Together, As One United People,” Jurong Christian Church (JCC) was thrilled to participate in Taman Jurong Community Club’s 59th National Day celebration on 10th August.

The event, graced by the presence of Mr Shawn Huang (one of the MPs for Jurong GRC) and Ms Grace Fu (Minister for Sustainability and the Environment), was a joyous occasion brimming with energy and enthusiasm. It was heartwarming to see many attendees dressed in red and white, enhancing the sense of national unity.

Game booths, activities for parent-child bonding, captivating performances, etc. ‒ there was something for everyone, young or old.

JCC contributed to this festive atmosphere by hosting four booths: kidsREAD, Bicycle Corner, Baker’s Hut, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Seven children registered for JCC’s kidsREAD program and fifteen people registered for our baking activities. We also fielded enquiries by individuals who showed interest in our bicycle-related activities and healthy lifestyle activities.

JCC’s participation in this national celebration aligns with our Goshen Initiative, which aims to build bridges within our community and share God’s love in practical ways.

Together, we celebrated not just Singapore’s 59th birthday, but the enduring spirit of togetherness that defines Singapore.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Taman Jurong Community Club and look forward to strengthening our partnership in future endeavours.
