Sunny Skies Smile on JCC Goshen Bicycle Club’s Scenic Ride to Labrador Park

Despite an early morning downpour in Jurong, the JCC Goshen Bicycle Club enjoyed a remarkably sunny and refreshing ride to Labrador Park and back on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Thirteen enthusiastic cyclists, primarily members of Jurong Christian Church (JCC), embarked on the approximately 40 km journey.

The group, which included both male and female participants with a notable age range – one participant under 18 and the remainder over 40 – met at the church at 6:30 am before commencing their ride at 7:00 am.

Adding an element of surprise to the outing, the group discovered a new, more spacious route to Labrador Park. This serendipitous find injected a sense of “freshness and excitement” into their cycling adventure.

Reflecting on the event, participants expressed intense enjoyment in both the invigorating physical activity and the cherished fellowship they shared. The ride proved to be a “meaningful time of bonding, encouragement and mutual support” for everyone involved. The fortunate transition from heavy rain in Jurong to consistently sunny skies throughout their journey was gratefully acknowledged as God’s favour upon them.

Looking ahead, the JCC Goshen Bicycle Club is tentatively scheduling its next quarterly ride for August. Beyond these outings, the club also actively serves as “Befrienders of Cyclists,” offering complimentary bicycle maintenance at the church every Sunday afternoon.

All JCC members are warmly encouraged to utilize these activities as an opportunity to invite friends. It is a great way to connect and share Christ’s love through community and shared interests.
