Easter Service 2026
On 5 April 2026, we gathered to celebrate Easter, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This significant season reminds us of the hope, renewal, and victory found in Him, and calls us to reflect on God’s enduring love and grace. It is a time for the church to rejoice in the promise of new life and the assurance of salvation through Christ.

The Easter service featured a moving presentation by JCC’s Bible Readers, whose expressive and heartfelt reading brought the Easter story to life. Their rendition created a reflective and reverent atmosphere, allowing the congregation to engage more deeply with the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
JCC’s Children’s Ministry also contributed meaningfully to the service. Two children presented a delightful ukulele performance, while another group of eight children sang the Christian song King of Kings. Their joyful participation added a vibrant and uplifting dimension to the service, highlighting the faith, enthusiasm, and growing spiritual confidence of the younger generation.

Sharing by Boris:
This Easter service, I was given the opportunity to coordinate and plan a song presentation. Initially, I intended to do an instrumental piece with two of my ukulele students, Bennett and Celeste. I wanted them to experience what it is like to play in front of the whole church during such a special service, especially after just two months of learning. However, in early February, I heard a sermon by a pastor from another church about the importance of children’s ministry. This inspired me to involve the children, as I felt that their singing could share the gospel message with pre-believers in a gentle and meaningful way. I was curious about the outcome and determined to make this idea a reality. With the help of the children’s ministry teachers, I invited the children to take part in the song presentation. One of the biggest challenges we faced was that some of the children were afraid to stand on stage and sing, but they trusted that God would help them overcome their fears. The teachers did a wonderful job encouraging them and reassuring them during rehearsals. Thank God that both my ukulele players and the children performed well, even though it was their first time on stage. Some of the children sang without holding their lyrics, and my two ukulele players played very naturally. All of this truly impressed me.
I would also like to thank those who supported this performance behind the scenes, as they made the children’s first on-stage song presentation a wonderful experience.

The Easter service was a meaningful time of worship and reflection, bringing together the church community and several pre-believers in celebration of the risen Christ. It was a joyous reminder of our shared faith and an encouragement to continue living out the message of Easter in our daily lives.
