A Carnival in Support of LCCS
The LCS Sisters’ Fellowship (WICAS) hosted a fun and fundraising carnival on 17th August at Jurong Christian Church (JCC), uniting the entire LCS family for an afternoon of laughter, camaraderie and a shared sense of purpose.
From 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including exciting game booths, vibrant face painting, creative balloon sculpting, and lively ukulele performances. To satisfy appetites, delicious snacks and refreshments were also available. Additionally, stalls were set up for attendees to browse and purchase useful pre-loved items.
Supporting Lutheran Community Care Services (LCCS):
Beyond the fun, the carnival aimed to raise funds for Lutheran Community Care Services (LCCS), a non-profit organization committed to strengthening relationships and empowering individuals and families. As an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and an affiliated partner of the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP), LCCS provides invaluable support to communities like families, schools, and residential homes, helping them mend and rebuild connections.
A Resounding Success:
The carnival proved to be a resounding success. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with laughter and a festive spirit, created a lasting memory for the entire LCS family. The event raised a significant total of $22,553 for LCCS, with $18,253 generated through carnival activities and direct donations/support reaching $4,300.
The WICAS team extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved, including volunteers, performers, and attendees, for their contributions to making the event a memorable success.
