Jurong Christian Church Receives National COVID-19 Award

Jurong Christian Church (JCC) was awarded the President’s Certificate of Commendation (COVID-19) for its contributions to Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers (PEERS) Network and Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P).

The certificate was presented by Minister Masagos Zulkifli at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel on 26 October 2023.

JCC was one of the accommodating homes for rough sleepers during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing them with a safe place to sleep, meals, snacks, and leisure activities. Volunteers from JCC, New Life Baptist Church, Renewal Christian Church and Hearts Alive Church worked tirelessly to care for the rough sleepers, providing them with friendship, support, and hope.

JCC is truly grateful to all the volunteers who have helped to make the S3P a success. Their dedication and compassion have made a real difference in the lives of the rough sleepers.
