Day of His Power 2025

For its 30th anniversary, the annual Day of His Power (DOHP) prayer event brought believers together on August 8, 2025, for a night of intercession for Singapore. The reports from Min Hui and Samantha, together with the photos, highlight the profound experience in Jurong Christian Church.
From Min Hui:
Among the 30 prayer centres established nationwide, Jurong Christian Church (JCC) and New Life Baptist Church (NLBC) forged a meaningful partnership to host a gathering in the West Zone.
A combined worship band was formed, bringing together musicians and singers from both churches. Discussions about the worship set and practices began two months in advance, and the team devoted themselves to one united purpose — to be ministers of worship, leading the congregation into God’s presence.
It was a powerful night where hearts were lifted in praise and prayers rose as God’s people stood together in unity. Truly, the Lord’s faithfulness was evident as His Spirit moved among us.
We give thanks for everyone who served and participated, and we look forward to many more years of partnering together in His Kingdom’s work.
From Samantha:
The partnership between JCC and NLBC was a simple yet significant step of faith — JCC opened its doors as a hub for united prayer. The collaboration began with conversations between both churches, exploring how we could work together on worship, logistics, and stewardship of space.
On the night of National Day eve, about 260 participants from different churches and backgrounds gathered as one family in Christ. Pastors from Community of Praise Baptist Church and Shalom Baptist Chapel also joined in, leading the body of Christ through various prayer segments. It was a powerful sight to see so many voices lifted together in worship and petition before the Lord.
This was a milestone for JCC, as it was the first time our church building served as one of the DOHP regional centres. Doing so with NLBC made the experience even more meaningful, reflecting the beauty of partnership in the body of Christ. It was a journey that reminded us we are truly stronger when we pray together, and that God’s kingdom is far greater than any single congregation.
My prayer and desire are to see churches in Singapore continue to rise, coming together with united hearts, lifted hands, and bowed knees, contending for God’s purposes in our land. May Singapore fulfill her God-given destiny.
Forward Singapore, Upward Singapore, Godward Singapore. Amen.
