Pre-National Day Celebration & Fellowship at JCC, MPH 3 with ABC 1 Cell Group

We had an early National Day celebration at Jurong Christian Church (JCC), MPH 3, with our ABC 1 Cell Group, and it was truly a blessed and joyful gathering. It was a day filled with fellowship, laughter, delicious food, and, most importantly, the love and presence of God. As we celebrated Singapore’s National Day in advance, we were also reminded of the blessing of being one family in Christ.

As always, Bro. Tony welcomed everyone with open arms. Every time I come to church, he makes me feel like part of the family. His hospitality and genuine care are beautiful reflections of Christ’s love. He reminds us that the church is not just a building but a home where everyone is accepted, valued, and loved.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the message shared by Bro. Wong Mui. His message deeply touched my heart. As Christians, our love and care should never be limited to our own cell group. We are called to love and serve everyone around us, just as Jesus Christ taught us. As members of the church, we are also called to share the Good News and live out Christ’s teachings in our daily lives. Our faith should not only be expressed through our words but, more importantly, demonstrated through our actions—by showing kindness, forgiveness, humility, and love toward others.

One of the things that truly inspired me was the unity within our church family. Although we come from different countries and backgrounds—Singapore, the Philippines, India, Germany, Taiwan, and many others—we are united as one family in Christ. Our diversity is not a barrier but a beautiful reflection of God’s kingdom. We worship the same God, share the same faith, and encourage one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Another inspiring moment was seeing Uncle James and his wife faithfully attending church. Even though Uncle James uses a wheelchair and both of them are in their golden years, they continue to worship and praise the Lord faithfully. Their lives are a wonderful testimony of unwavering faith. They remind us that neither age nor physical limitations should ever prevent us from worshipping and serving God. They are truly role models of faith, perseverance, and trust in the Lord.

The message also led me to reflect on my own life. Because of my work, I am often on duty on Sundays. However, I have come to realize that following Christ is not limited to being inside the church. Every day at work, I strive to live out His teachings by helping my colleagues in the production area, the engineering team, and my office mates in any way I can. Whether through simple acts of kindness, listening, offering encouragement, or lending a helping hand, I believe these are practical ways of demonstrating Christ’s love in everyday life.

One truth that stayed with me after today’s service is this: “God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.” To everyone who is going through trials, illness, or difficult circumstances, never lose your faith in God. There are times when we become tired and discouraged, and our faith may feel weak. But God is always faithful. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

As we were reminded in today’s sermon, we must trust in God wholeheartedly. When we place our complete trust in Him, He gives us the strength to face every battle in life. God already knows our needs even before we ask, and in His perfect timing, He will provide everything we truly need according to His perfect plan.

As Singapore celebrates another National Day, may we also celebrate the unity that God has given us. Let us continue to love one another regardless of race, nationality, or background. May we be Christ’s light wherever the Lord leads us, showing His love through the way we live our lives.

May God continue to bless Singapore, Jurong Christian Church, and every nation represented in our church family. Together, let us continue walking in faith, trusting in the Lord, and sharing His love with everyone we meet.

Happy National Day in advance! God bless us all! 🙏

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
