Evangelism Made Simple

About 60 persons (youths and adults) attended this course by Wallis Sultan in MPH1 on Sunday 23rd March 2025. Wallis Sultan is a man with a passion for evangelism. He is empowered with courage and boldness to share God’s love and preach the gospel to strangers. He works as a senior medical technologist.
It was a very useful course as the speaker taught all the lessons found in his book, “Evangelism Made Simple”. Most people do not read books these days so having the author of the book give his 2 cents worth on the various topics really helped to cover all the topics within 3 hours, sparing us the effort of reading the book. However it is recommended that you read the book if you are not clear or have forgotten about the method of evangelism that the author applied in his encounters with people.
Have you wondered about evangelism to strangers:
- How Do I Approach People?
- What Do I Say When I Approach Them? Where do I reach out? When is the best time?
- How do I convince them of the gospel?
This talk covered a new perspective to evangelism and you will have a toolbox of conversation starters, and practical examples that have been tested and proven to be effective and simple for all to use during gospel sharing.
The author himself told us to be prepared for rejections as we will certainly have to face the reality that many people will reject us as they had rejected Jesus himself when He walked in Israel during His time on Earth. He encouraged us to leave the results to God as our duty is only to sow the seed and this reminds me to continue planting seeds faithfully, knowing that the ultimate growth is in God’s hands.
Galatians 6:9
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
I believe this talk will help us to be better prepared to answer and explain questions on our beliefs and drive us to spend our time on what matters most for eternity. Talking to strangers is not my gifting but I am now more prepared to hold a conversation with people when the opportunity arises during the Manna Bridge monthly outreach activity.
