NCCS February 2025 E-Newsletter

Dear Members and Friends of NCCS,
The festive season of Chinese New Year is over. Our celebrations over family meals gave us the opportunity to renew significant relationships, reminding us of God’s work that has restored our personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Indeed, the giving and receiving of ang pows emphasise the blessedness of sharing some of the goodness we continue to receive, in the first place, from a gracious and merciful God everyday of our lives. In acknowledging and experiencing the goodness of God, the Christian learns to grow in contentment (1 Tim 6: 6-8).
The call for us to continue our journey towards spiritual maturity will soon be upon us as we begin the season of Lent. On Ash Wednesday (5 March), we commence 40 days of personal disciplines to renew our commitment to serve and witness to God’s Love. May this season of Lent be a blessing to you and your loved ones.
In His Service,
Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian | General Secretary
National Council of Churches of Singapore
