Baptisms and Transfers
Baptism in Dialect Service
9th April 2023
Three persons were baptized on Easter Sunday by Rev John Tan during the Dialect service. They were Low Boon Chong, Wong Khan Foo and Tiew Ah Hua.
On 5th April, Uncle Wong invited Deacon Nathan to go to his house to remove their idols. Deacon Nathan was accompanied by Wong Mui, Beng Lay and Peggy to do the IRS (Idol Removal Service).
Uncle Low’s sister was ecstatic that her brother is finally baptized. A large number of family members turned up for the ceremony. Uncle Low sponsored 80 bento sets for the Dialect Service refreshment.
There were spiritual battles before the baptism. Weeks before Uncle Low’s baptism, he has had several accidents and health issues. On the eve of the baptism, our brother Cassidy (worship leader for that day) was admitted to hospital. Peter Cheong had to replace him.
Praise the Lord, everything went smoothly.
Dialect Ministry also celebrated its 15th Anniversary and here is a short video clip: https://youtu.be/Ojq5sTjwzxU
