Girls’ Brigade Closing Ceremony

On 12 April 2026, The 51st Girls’ Brigade Singapore gathered for a heartfelt Closing Ceremony held at Jurong Christian Church. It was a meaningful time of reflection, thanksgiving, and celebration of God’s faithfulness over the years.

Since its establishment in the year 2000, The 51st Girls’ Brigade has journeyed through 27 batches of girls, impacting lives and nurturing generations in character, leadership, and faith. Each year has been a testament to God’s grace, as young girls were guided and shaped into individuals rooted in strong values and a heart for service.

This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of many who have faithfully served behind the scenes. We extend our deepest gratitude to all Chaplains, Captains, Officers, Teachers, and Helpers who have poured their time, love, and effort into this ministry. Your service has left a legacy in the lives of every girl who has passed through the company.

We are also deeply thankful to Jurong Christian Church for their unwavering support throughout the years. The church has been a pillar of strength, providing not just resources, but also encouragement and a spiritual home for the ministry to flourish.

While this season marks the closing of The 51st Girls’ Brigade Company, we hold on to hope and faith that this is not the end. Rather, it may simply be a pause in God’s greater plan. We trust that when the time is right, He will raise up individuals who are willing to answer His call to serve in this ministry once again.

As we look back with gratitude, we also look forward with hope—believing that the seeds sown over the past 27 years will continue to bear fruit in the lives of the girls and beyond.

In Christ’s Love,

Yap Xiu Zhen

Captain of The 51st Girls’ Brigade Singapore
