Celebrating a Miraculous Healing
On Sunday, 8th June 2025, we heard a heartwarming testimony from our beloved sister, Mrs. Amy Saw. She shared a powerful account of a great blessing: the healing of her eldest daughter from a long-standing and worrisome heart condition.
Amy began her testimony by highlighting a verse from Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
It was clear this verse meant a lot to her as she spoke, and those of us listening felt the truth of her words:
“Perfect peace speaks of a state of tranquillity that goes beyond temporary feelings. The condition for receiving this peace is having a steadfast mind—a mind focused on God’s character and His presence. Ultimately, trust in God is the root of this peace. Remember, God told us, ‘My peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be anxious. Be still and know that I am God.’”
A Journey of Trust and Unexpected Healing
For over two decades, Amy’s eldest daughter lived with mitral valve prolapse, a heart condition diagnosed during a pre-employment medical check-up when she was quite young. This meant her mitral valve was faulty, causing blood to flow backward into a chamber of her heart. The diagnosis came as a significant surprise to the family.
“We often think such things won’t happen to us, but they do,” Amy remarked, reflecting on the initial shock of the news.
The turning point arrived last month when the daughter underwent a routine echocardiogram, a test designed to scan her heart and assess the condition of her mitral valve for any continued leakage. Amy accompanied her daughter to the National Heart Centre for the results, anticipating an update on a chronic condition.
What they heard next was astonishing.
“Guess what the doctor told her? She no longer has mitral valve prolapse, and her heart is now structurally normal!” Amy exclaimed, her voice filled with emotion. “Hallelujah!”
The Saw family unequivocally attributes this remarkable recovery to their faith.
“My family and I would like to express our thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His protection and for this great blessing,” Amy concluded, her heartfelt testimony drawing a warm round of applause from the congregation.
