Dialect Cell Group Christmas Celebration
It was a heartwarming Christmas celebration for the Dialect Cell Group on 18th December 2025.
A Divine Shift in the Atmosphere
Reflecting on the day, Seline shared how truly amazing God is. That morning, dark clouds threatened to keep the elderly at home. Trusting in Him, Seline prayed for clear skies so the seniors could travel safely. Having prepared 30 gifts and meals, the team waited on a miracle.
The answer arrived with “divine timing.” While on bus 30, Seline witnessed the sky break open with sunlight near Lakeside Primary. Fellow member Uncle Siew, also on the bus, remarked in awe: “The sky suddenly brightened! It was gloomy just a while ago.” God’s grace turned a grey morning into a radiant celebration.
A Growing Family of Faith
The celebration was attended by 28 people. Rev. Caleb Oh shared an inspiring message about finding true peace by staying close to God. The atmosphere was joyful as the group sang carols and played “Charades”—a new and exciting experience that brought much laughter to the seniors.

Looking Forward with Gratitude
The warmth of this “spiritual family” continues to linger in the hearts of the members. Reflecting on this, Merilyn (Christina’s niece) is exuberant:
“Praise God! My grandfather, who lives near JCC, accepted Christ this year. As we come from a predominantly pre-believing extended family, this brings immense joy to us as first-generation Christians.
“Throughout the year, I have attended several Hokkien worship services, JCC’s 58th Anniversary Service, and the final seniors care group meeting. I have truly seen how faithfully God has built JCC into what it is today! On behalf of my family, we thank God for the pastors, the seniors’ ministries, and the Hokkien service leaders who constantly reach out to my grandfather whenever he visits. The Holy Spirit has empowered him to declare his worship of Jesus, bringing him deep joy and peace.”
We take to heart Merilyn’s reminder from Psalm 127:1: “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”
We thank God for building this house of fellowship and for every leader who serves with such love. We join in prayer that God continues to bless Jurong Christian Church (JCC) so we may remain a blessing to our neighbours in Jurong. We thank God for this wonderful Christmas celebration and look forward to growing deeper in our faith together in the new year 2026 for more opportunities to share His love and grace with the community.
